» Sailing Club The YMCA Sailing Club (YMCASC) of Canberra is a family orientated sailing club situated on Yarralumla Bay, Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra. Part of the YMCA of Canberra, the YMCASC is a charitable community service organisation. The club runs sailing races for dinghies, catamarans and trailable yachts as well as
training courses for children and adults with no prior sailing experience. With excellent facilities and an active
membership, the YMCASC is an ideal place to sail.
The club has excellent facilities including a training fleet, the Regatta Room, Clubrooms, change facilities and a terrific galley catering to all tastes for the use of members and guests.

Venue Hire
The Club’s Regatta Room is available on weekends for hire for weddings, family reunions and other social events and parties. During the week, the Regatta Room hosts YMCA exercise classes and other community programs and services.For more information on hiring the Regatta Room

The YMCA Sailing Club of Canberra is a Yachting Australia (YAI) Recognised Training Establishment (RTE). Over the years the Club's training courses have introduced hundreds of people to the sport, and a good number of graduates have learned to sail competitively winning State and National Championships. Twilight Sailing provides fun sessions for members of the YMCA Sailing Club. The sessions help you to develop your skills after completing a training course. Sessions are also for people who already race and wish to further develop their sailing skills and or wish to get around the course faster. Sailing is the perfect way to relax with friends and family after a hard day at work.

The YMCASC has a competent and experienced team of Yachting Australia (YA) qualified race officers as well as a fleet of 4 race support boats suitable for the management of sail racing. The club conducts weekly races and State, Regional and National Titles for dinghy, catamaran and trailable yacht classes.

Mains'l is the YMCASC magazine. The first issue was published in October 1962 before the club had adopted a constitution or incorporated. Mains'1 reports on current and proposed club activities. It also includes articles from members on their participation in regattas, including State and National regattas. It is published 10 times a year and is now available electronically.
